Community Tips and Proactive Drug Enforcement Lead to Another Successful KDOG Operation

Sheriff David Zoerner believes that effective law enforcement begins with strong partnerships between deputies and the community. By combining proactive investigations with information provided by concerned citizens, the Kenosha Drug Operations Group (KDOG) continues to disrupt drug trafficking operations throughout Kenosha County.

In May 2023, KDOG detectives and Kenosha County Sheriff's Department patrol deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the Village of Somers following a narcotics investigation. Before the warrant was served, deputies conducted a traffic stop and safely detained the primary suspect, allowing investigators to execute the search warrant without incident.

The investigation resulted in the seizure of:

• More than 31 grams of cocaine

• Alprazolam pills

• Marijuana products

• More than $1,100 in suspected drug proceeds

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Kenosha County Jail on multiple felony charges related to drug trafficking, including possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and an additional weapons-related offense.

The operation was completed safely with no injuries to deputies or members of the public.
