Zoerner's Drug Task Force Removes Deadly Fentanyl from Kenosha Neighborhood

Sheriff David Zoerner has made the fight against fentanyl and illegal narcotics one of his highest priorities. Through proactive investigations led by the Kenosha Drug Operations Group (KDOG), the Sheriff's Department continues to target drug dealers who threaten the safety of Kenosha County families.

In April 2023, KDOG detectives, along with Sheriff's Department detectives and deputies, executed a search warrant at a residence in the City of Kenosha following a narcotics investigation. Before the warrant was served, deputies safely detained the primary suspect nearby, allowing investigators to carry out the operation without incident.

During the search, detectives seized:

• Nearly 35 grams of cocaine

• Six grams of fentanyl

• Marijuana products

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Kenosha County Jail on multiple felony charges, including possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and felony bail jumping.

The operation was completed safely, with no injuries to law enforcement officers or members of the public.

Under Sheriff Zoerner's leadership, KDOG has focused on proactive enforcement against drug trafficking organizations responsible for distributing fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and other dangerous narcotics. By aggressively pursuing dealers before these drugs reach neighborhoods, schools, and families, the Sheriff's Office continues its mission of making Kenosha County a safer place to live.
